Drag the Magnifying Glass onto an item, compare it with its manual, tick the fault in the Counterfeit Check panel, then press Confront. One real fault is enough, and the seller drops the price. A wrong accusation costs reputation and the customer may leave.

How the Counterfeit Check works
- Drag the Magnifying Glass onto the item, from the counter or your inventory.
- Hold the mouse button and drag slowly to examine it. Use the handle to move the lens.
- Open the item's manual with right-click, then Read.
- Tick the matching reason in the Counterfeit Check panel.
- Press Confront.
A correct call lowers the price. A wrong one costs reputation, and the client may leave. If you find nothing, buy at the asking price. The tooltip tells you which items can be inspected.
Hemingway Cigarettes
Reasons: Lettering, Color, Seal, Logo and Box Issues.

Ribwich
The appraisal guide lists every Ribwich rule. In short, check the production date, the facility number (01 to 35), the Davre logo, the sticker on second-run items, and that a Deluxe has both a sesame bun and extra pickles.
Water
Water is fake when its purity doesn't match its label. Use a Water Testing Strip, because Ghostwater looks like better water and only a test catches it. Rustwater and Gutterflow give themselves away by color.
