You inspect an appraisal item, send an estimate, and earn a base fee plus a share of that estimate. An estimate within 5% of the true value is Perfect. Each rank unlocks harder items and more customers, and Master Appraiser pays the most per job.

How appraisal works
An Appraiser Board member offers you membership around Day 8. After you join, customers bring items marked as appraisal items. Inspect the item with the Magnifying Glass, work out its value, and press Send Estimate.
Your fee is your rank's base fee plus a percentage of your estimate. A Perfect Junior appraisal of a 300-credit item pays 20 + 15% of 300, or 65 credits.

A failed promotion exam makes you wait 7 days before you can retry. Joining costs 85 credits on the two easier difficulties, 170 on Thin Margins and 255 on Red Ink.
Why have appraisal customers stopped coming?
This is a common forum complaint, with one player reporting 15 days without one. The published daily chance is only 33% at Junior rank, so dry spells happen. One player thinks your display case sign queue also matters, but that isn't confirmed.

Start from 100. The minimum value is 50.

Two sets add a bonus. Tactical (+100) needs Carbon Composite, EMG+ or Neural Interface, no wear, and both add-ons. Deluxe (+200) needs Gold Plated and Neural Interface with no wear.
Ribwich
Start from 150. Any counterfeit or missing packaging is worth 40.
A Ribwich is counterfeit if any of these apply:
- The production date is missing or outside January 425 to December 429 and January 432 to December 438.
- The packing facility number is missing or outside 01 to 35. A factory #38 is an instant fake.
- It has only one Deluxe feature, either the sesame bun or the extra pickles.
- The Davre logo is missing or wrong.
- It's from the second run and the sticker is missing or wrong. First-run Ribwiches have no sticker.

Plasma Cartridge
Start from 300. The minimum value is 90. Players find wear the hardest part, so compare the cartridge with the guide image before you commit.

Spotting fake food stamps
Genuine stamps only come in 40, 80, 120, 160, 200 or 240 credits. Any other value is fake.
- Security seal: 160, 200 and 240 must have one. 40, 80 and 120 must not.
- Lettering: It reads REPUBLIC SOCIAL PROGRAM in a normal font. Misspellings, bold type, odd colors and misalignment are fakes.
- Logo: The genuine emblem is a round crosshair.
- Chip: Every stamp needs an intact chip, and a damaged chip makes even a real stamp unusable.
Use the Magnifying Glass's Counterfeit Check, tick the fault and press Confront. A wrong accusation costs reputation, and you shouldn't trust a "Genuine" label because labels can be altered.
